Just 90 minutes into the race, a power cut in the pit lane plagued running after exciting on-track action pleased fans in attendance. The short power cut caused a long delay due to the fuelling rigs, which needed to be reset. Many teams also reset their own computers after the power was lost. The race was officially stopped for two hours and 15 minutes.

The Nürburgring 24 Hours is a gruelling endurance race held annually at the Nürburgring Nordschleife in Germany. It features a mix of professional and amateur drivers competing in various classes, from high-performance GT3 cars to near-stock production vehicles. The 25-kilometre track combines the Nordschleife with part of the modern Grand Prix circuit, creating one of the world’s toughest racing challenges. In 2024, Top Gear reported that over 300,000 spectators flocked to the famous German circuit for the event.

a huge incident. Disappointingly for the Belgian and his Scherer Sport PHX team, the #16 911 GT3 had to be withdrawn from the event due to damage.
