'Max Verstappen' and 'George Russell' fire back at each other in the aftermath of their controversial crash at the Spanish Grand Prix. Or at least it's what's happened in comedian Conor Moore's video, where he hilariously imitates Russell and Verstappen as they react to their crash on past Sunday's Grand Prix.
What happened bewteen Max Verstappen and George Russell in Spain?
In the dying moments of the race, a late safety car was triggered by Andrea Kimi Antonelli's off. Red Bull had no tyres to put on Verstappen's RB21, save for a set of hards, which the Dutchman was not at all happy to be using.
At the restart it became clear why. I huge snap of oversteer coming out of the final corner meant he nearly lost the car altogether. Charles Leclerc took the opportunity to pounce and bring his car up to P3 into Turn 1.
It was at Turn 1 that the incident between Verstappen and Russell originated. The Briton went for a late move up the inside pushing the Dutchman off, without being sufficiently alongside and with Verstappen having the right to racing room.
The Red Bull driver took the run-off and kept the position, which the Austrian team's pitwall told him to relinquis in the favor of the Mercedes driver. Coming out of Turn 4, Verstappen slowed as if to let Russell through, only to speed up again and as they entered Turn 5, go straight on and collide with the Briton's Mercedes, in what many thought to be a deliberate move by the Dutchman.
